The beginning of Aronia Fields Farm can be traced to 2013

When two friends decided to buy a 140 acre property in Prince George and create legacy for their children. It will be another 3 years before one of them discovered Aronia berries and the other one wholeheartedly embraced it. The dream of having the largest commercial Aronia berry farm was born.

In 2017 we planted 25,000 Aronia plugs in the ground and farm was established under Aronia Fields Farm name. It was not without hiccups and mistakes but today the aronia bushes are growing and producing and we have no plans to stop developing our land and educating people on this super berry of all super berries.

We like to learn from others and to develop genuine relationships. We like visitors and we proudly show them what we have achieved and we welcome everyone to try Aronia berries. About us

Our farmers use the modern farming techniques and the most innovative technologies in their work.

Aronia Farm aims to constantly expand its business. We plant new aronia shrubs and optimize agricultural productivity on the existing land. This helps our farm demonstrate increases in crop yields year over year.

Natural

Our berries are all grown naturally without pesticides and artificial fertilizers.

Contemporary

Our berries will be part of the modern diet where young generations embrace all that is healthy and pure for themselves and their children.

Open

We are open to share and to receive advice. We are not ashamed to admit that Aronia berries have astringent taste and not everyone will like them. Yet we will encourage all to try to add it to their diet in one form or another  (fresh, frozen or dried) as we firmly believe in health benefits of this amazing berry.

Aronia melanocarpa is a deciduous shrub that belongs to the Rosaceae family (along with rose, apple, hawthorn, cherry, peach, plum, almond, and many more). Its clusters of white flowers in spring turn to blue-black autumn berries, about the size of blueberries. The Aronia plant is native to eastern North America. Since migrating to Europe in the early 1900s, it is now commonly cultivated in Germany, Russia, and other parts of eastern Europe. In its raw form, the Aronia berry has an extremely sour and astringent taste, hence the common name “chokeberry”. To enhance its palatability, it is commonly prepared into syrups, jams, jellies, blended fruit juices, and wine.
